October 19, 2013 Show – 2nd Hour

Fall chill is in the air but it’s still grillin’ season! Listen to The Grillin’ Guys BBQ radio show for October 19th, 2013!

Segment 1: The guys talk about some Smoked Steelhead Dip along with Smoked Salmon.

Segment 2: Matt from Gravel Bottom Brewery returns to talk more about his numerous microbrews. Producer Bryan Fongers also chimes in to talk about the weekend sports scene. Jop also breaks down some Pheasant Shish Kebobs.

Segment 3: The guys talk about some Walleye Wings and bring back Matt to continue the talk on his microbrews. The guys also talk about some portable deep fryers for tailgating.

Segment 4: The guys talk to an old college friend and current musician, Billy Craig, about what is going on with his current band, Brownsville Station. BBQ Bob also gives out another “Man Law” on having a person with the strongest bladder deciding on when to make pit stops on road trips. The show then wraps up with a song by Billy Craig called, “Pretty Good at Huntin’ Deer.”

Segment 3: The guys talk to Matt Michaels from Gravel Bottom Brewery in Ada, Michigan about his brewery and what brews he has to offer.

Segment 4: The guys talk more with Matt about his microbrews. BBQ Bob also talks about some Venison Chili.

Segment 2: The guys talk some football with Ferris State Head Coach Tony Annese. The guys also talk about the grilling equipment they brought up to Big Rapids with them.

Segment 3: The guys talk to Shannon, a Criminal Justice Major at Ferris State, about their academics. The guys also talk about some hot tailgating food during the colder weather along with some more tailgating tips.

Segment 4: The guys break down the football action that is going on this weekend. BBQ Bob also gives out another “Man Law” on men not watching ice skating ever except when it’s hockey. The show then wraps up with a tribute to Ferris State University with the Bulldogs’ Fight Song.

Segment 1: The guys are live from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan for their Homecoming festivities as they start the show off by talking about what they are grilling up for the Bulldog faithful today and how they are cooking it.

Segment 2: The guys talk to Carlene and Brian Rose, the Grand Marshalls of the Ferris State Homecoming Parade, about the parade that is going on today. The guys also talk to Jeremy Mishler, the Alumni Director at Ferris State, about the other festivities taking place on campus today.

Segment 3: The guys talk to Ferris State President Dave Eisler about how the university has grown and developed over the years.

Segment 4: The guys bring in the Founder and Owner of Cranker’s Brewery, Jim Crank, about the brewery and how it has grown over the years. The guys also dive into some Brisket.

Segment 3: The guys dive into some “Kansas City Sticky Ribs,” Pulled Pork Deviled Eggs, Briskets, and much more tailgating food!

Segment 4: Jop dishes out some “Knuckle Tips” and Pulled Pork Nachos. BBQ Bob also talks about some Mock Chicken Legs and gives out another “Man Law” on making grilling in any kind of weather the first and only choice. The show then wraps up with a tribute to the beginning of fall and football season with a song by Kenny Chesney called, “The Boys of Fall.”

Segment 3: Bob & Jop discuss their upcoming tailgate out at Ferris State in Big Rapids. They speak to Jeremy Mishler –Director of Alumni Relations at Ferris St. The guys will be at their Homecoming Game on October 5th. They also get into cooking breast from Wild Game Birds.

Segment 4: The guy’s talk to Doug Welsh from Fenn Valley Winery in Fennville, MI. Doug discusses what wines go with certain types of foods.
