The Grillin’ Guys had a great day at their old alma mater on October 15th.  The alumni relations director Jeremy Mishler was the supreme host.
The show was also sponsored by another Ferris alum, Kraig Snyder, owner of Snyder’s BBQ and Catering in Big Rapids.  Snyder sells custom meats, smoked foods and well as catering many events in the Mecosta County area.
Stan Vallier, the assistant director of Ferris Catering came by with his grill crew and helped out big time with grilling over 700 Rib-eye steaks.
Next we spoke with the Ferris Hockey coach  Bob Daniels and RPI’s coach Appert.  They had just finished a 4:1 Bulldog victory the night before and were headed into a rematch Saturday night.
The Ferris Football coach Jeff Pierce sat in with The Grillin’ Guys to tell us all about the game against NMU that was set to kick off at 2pm.  Jeff also strutted his grilling moxie with his favorite venison grilling tips.
Next, President David Eisler sat in with the guys to talk about the excellence and traditions of Ferris.  President Eisler also spoke of his favorite Salmon techniques on the grill.
Finally the Grand Marshals Bob and Judie Scranton sat in with Jop and Bob and yukked it up on the air and spread the bbq love from front to back.
Jeremy surprised the guys with some saweet custom Ferris Grillin’ Aprons.  The aprons have a retractable bottle opener (which Jop found a use for quickly), grill mitt, towel, tool clip, and best of all, a drink holder with a drain.  Now they have everything.

Here are a few shots of the day.
