These dudes are serious grillin’ fanatics!  Listen to The Grillin’ Guys show from May 12th, 2012!
Segment 1: The guys are live from Sobie Meats on Remembrance Road in Grand Rapids, Michigan for their Eight Year Anniversary Sale as they start the show off by talking to Chef Bob Schultz, a Culinary Professor at Grand Rapids Community College, about three ways to improve your grilled food.

Segment 2: The guys continue to talk to Chef Bob Schultz about brining your meat properly. Chef Schultz also talks about properly marinating your meat by using anything with tomato products, wines, lemon juices, and many more! The guys also dive into “National Barbecue Month” and the reasons why barbecuing is so big all year around.

Segment 3: The guys talk to Clem Mikeska from Clem Mikeska Barbecue in Texas about some good old southern barbecue, especially when it comes to cooking a brisket.

Segment 4: The guys talk to Coach Jeff Mercer, who won “The Good One” contest for the name of their new smoker, “Renegade,” and won a hefty prize for it! The guys bring back in Chef Schultz to talk about a good Mother’s Day menu.

Segment 5: The guys bring Chef Schultz back in to talk about how hot you put your grill when you are cooking certain meats, such as chicken.

Segment 6: The guys talk to Tim Sobie, the owner of Sobie Meats, about what is going on for their Eight Year Anniversary Sale and what he is grilling up! Tim also talks about the growth of his business, especially when it comes to them selling grills now!

Segment 7: The guys talk about the Rub of the Week, which is “Tim’s Blend.” The guys talk to Chef Schultz again about the different grades of meat available when you go to buy it at a local meat market. The guys also talk to Charlie Fisher, the owner of Putt Putt’s, about the upcoming Wurst Fest Festival in late September.

Segment 8: The guys and Chef Schultz talk about properly rubbing down a sirloin steak. The guys also dive into some fresh Lake Michigan Perch on the grill and how to cook it properly. BBQ Bob also gives out another “Man Law” on a man loving his significant other to the fullest extent. The show then wraps up with a song by Michigan’s own The J. Geils Band called, “House Party.”
