Take a minute to slow down in this busy holiday season and listen to the December 17th, 2011 The Grillin’ Guys show. Merry Christmas! Happy New Year!

Segment 1: Jop and WBBL Program Director, Bret Bakita, are live at Schmohz Brewery for their 7th Anniversary Bash as they start the show off by talking to Bret about his grill skills at home (even not allowing his wife near his grill at any point in time!).

Segment 2: Jop and Bret talk to Chaz from Schmohz Brewery about his Bacon-style buffet (“ Seven Ways of Bacon”) they have to celebrate their 7th Anniversary Bash. Chaz also talks about the history of Schmohz and how it came to be. Bret Bakita also previews some football action this weekend with Wayne State in the Division II National Championship game today, as well as some bowl games going on at the Division I level.

Segment 3: Jop gives the listeners some grill Christmas gifts for those late Christmas shoppers.

Segment 4: The guys talk to BBQ Bob from Detroit, who talks about his Sweet Grilled Ham Steak recipe that is prefect for the holiday season. Jop also talks about parents teaching your kids to how to do a little grilling when it comes to shish kabobs.

Segment 5: The guys talk to Merle from Al and Bob’s Sports about the Archery sale going on at his store, as well as the Camp Cuervo donation going on for the war veterans. Jop also talks about using wood chips on the grill when it comes to getting a good taste from your meat.

Segment 6: The guys talk to Chef Colin Jacobs from the Flat River Grill in Lowell about his restaurant and what are the hot-sellers right now at his place. The guys also talk more about grilling some kabobs on the grill.

Segment 7: Chaz from Schmohz Brewery drops in again to talk about the expansion of his business, as well as the brews that are available right now perfect for the Christmas season. Chaz also talks more about the 7th Anniversary celebration today at his brewery.

Segment 8: Jop goes over some more Christmas gifts for the ladies to buy for the man in her life.

Segment 9: BBQ Bob calls back in to the show from Detroit to talk about a Grilled Spatchcock Turkey recipe that he will also be teaching people down at the Huntin Time Expo this coming winter. Jop also gives the listeners a Grilled Bananas Recipe.

Segment 10: Jop gives the listeners a Cheesy Meatball Skewer recipe that its prefect for kids. Jop gives out another “Man Law”about complimenting a guy on his six-pack. The show then wraps up with a tribute to the Christmas season and the cold weather with a song by Margaret Whiting and Johnny Mercer called, “Baby its Cold Outside.”
